Job summary

Kerry Consulting is seeking an experienced Trade Operator for its Singapore team to manage end-to-end physical coal trade operations. The role spans from reviewing contracts to coordinating vessel nominations, loading/discharge schedules and maintaining shipping documents.

Ideal candidates will have 3–6 years in physical bulk trade operations with strong knowledge of marine logistics, incoterms, laytime/demurrage, and trade documentation including Letters of Credit.

Qualifications

• Degree in business or a related discipline.
• 3–6 years of experience in physical bulk trade operations.
• Strong knowledge of marine logistics, incoterms, laytime/demurrage, and trade documentation including Letters of Credit.
• Solid understanding of operational risk management and multi-cargo coordination.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end physical trade operations for thermal/metallurgical coal cargoes.
• Review sales and purchase contracts and coordinate vessel nominations.
• Load/discharge scheduling and shipping documentation management.
• Handle Letters of Credit and ensure compliance with contractual/banking requirements.
• Monitor shipment progress, invoicing, payments and cash flow; mitigate operational risks.
