Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd is seeking a Trade Finance Executive to support physical commodity trading and TSF across regional operations. You will manage day-to-day trade finance, banking and documentation activities, primarily for coal trading, liaising with banks, buyers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.

You will coordinate submissions for trade financing, monitor costs and deadlines, and ensure accurate documentation in line with internal policies and banking requirements.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking, Business or related discipline.
• At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in trade finance, commodity trading operations or banking trade services.
• Coal trading and/or Trade Structured Finance experience is advantageous.
• Good practical knowledge of Letters of Credit, transferable LCs, documentary collections and trade financing.
• Familiarity with UCP 600, ISBP and Incoterms.

Responsibilities

• Handle Trade Finance & Banking activities: LCs issuance, advising, transfer and amendment (including transferable, back-to-back, sight and usance).
• Prepare and submit applications for trade financing, import/export loans, bill discounting and other facilities.
• Liaise with banks on document presentation, financing, payment status and charges; monitor financing costs and timelines.
• Coordinate timely submission of trade and shipping documents and track original documents.
• Monitor shipment schedules, LC deadlines, expiry and payment dates; collect proceeds.
• Support TSF transactions: coordinate documentation, bank correspondence, monitor receivables/payables and margins.
• Maintain accurate records of contracts, LCs, financing arrangements and banking correspondence.
