Job summary

HR FOCUS is seeking a Setter / Technician to support precision manufacturing. You will set up machines, perform tooling changeovers, run first-piece inspections, and contribute to safe, efficient production.

This hands-on role requires basic reading of engineering drawings, familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and the ability to troubleshoot and maintain equipment while supporting continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years hands-on experience in manufacturing or production environment.
• Education: NITEC, Higher NITEC, Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with CNC machining, injection molding, metal stamping, or automated production equipment is a strong advantage.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Solid basic troubleshooting and maintenance skills.

Responsibilities

• Setup and calibrate production machines, perform tooling changeovers, and run first-piece inspections.
• Diagnose equipment issues, perform preventive maintenance, and minimize machine downtime.
• Monitor product quality using precision measuring tools and report deviations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, waste reduction, and new product setups.
• Adhere to workplace safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
