Job summary

FK HUMAN RESOURCES PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist in Singapore to set up and operate CNC and conventional equipment. You will read engineering drawings and GD&T, prepare tools and fixtures, and perform milling, turning, drilling, grinding, and tapping operations.

You will measure parts with precision instruments (CMM, micrometers, verniers), adjust parameters for accuracy, troubleshoot issues, and participate in program testing and process improvements while maintaining

Qualifications

• Experience in machining, tooling, CNC operation, or tool-and-die manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Knowledge of CNC milling and/or CNC turning processes.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of cutting tools, machining parameters, materials, and tooling selection.
• Basic understanding of CNC programming
• Ability to troubleshoot machining and tooling issues.
• Good mechanical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work shifts and to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, with flexibility to work extended hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and conventional machining equipment.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and GD&T.
• Prepare, install, and adjust cutting tools, fixtures, jigs, and workholding equipment.
• Perform machining operations such as milling, turning, drilling, grinding, and tapping.
• Measure and inspect machined components using vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMM, and other precision instruments.
• Adjust machine parameters and tool offsets to maintain dimensional accuracy.
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and equipment problems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs on machines and tooling.
• Monitor tool wear and replace or recondition tooling when required.
• Support CNC program testing, optimization, and production improvements.
• Maintain tooling, fixtures, gauges, and machining equipment in good working condition.
• Follow safety procedures, quality requirements, and production schedules.
• Record production, inspection, maintenance, and tooling information.
• Work closely with engineers, production personnel, quality teams, and maintenance technicians.
