You will read blueprints, run production cycles, perform basic program or offset adjustments, and conduct quality checks with calipers and micrometers while maintaining a clean, safe workspace and adhering to standards.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on CNC lathe setup and operation experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Set-Up: Prepare and set up CNC lathe machines, install chucks, tool blocks, and tooling, and establish zero and reference points.
• Operation: Load raw materials, run test pieces, and manage full production cycles for turning, boring, facing, and threading operations.
• Programming & Adjustments: Read blueprints, interpret mechanical drawings, and adjust programs or tool offsets to maintain tolerances.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished workpieces using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Maintenance & Safety: Perform daily maintenance, keep the work area clean, and follow safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Set-Up: Prepare and set up CNC lathe machines, install chucks, tool blocks, and tooling, and establish zero and reference points.
• Operation: Load raw materials, run test pieces, and manage full production cycles for turning, boring, facing, and threading operations.
• Programming & Adjustments: Read blueprints, interpret mechanical drawings, and make basic program or tool offset adjustments (wear and geometry) to maintain tolerances.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished workpieces using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Maintenance & Safety: Perform daily preventative maintenance, keep the work area clean, and adhere to workplace safety standards
• Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in setting up and operating CNC lathe/turning machines
• Education: Vocational certification, or equivalent mechanical background
