Job summary

Acez Instruments Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks an experienced CNC Machinist (Turning) to join our precision manufacturing team. You will program, set up, and operate turning machines, interpret engineering drawings, and ensure high-quality components.

Proficiency in G-code, M-code, and threading operations, plus hands-on use of precision measuring tools, is essential. You will participate in continuous improvement and maintain safe, clean work areas.

Qualifications

• Experience in CNC programming for Turning machines (minimum 5 years).
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Comply with safety, health, and quality policies.
• Interpret drawings to produce per specifications.
• Create and modify CNC programs as required (G-code and M-code).
• Perform finishing using Gun Drill and Milling Machines for Thermowell components.
• Conduct hydrotesting on finished products.
• Engrave manufacturing information using punching machine.
• Carry out grinding and polishing of components.
• Perform engineering-related fabrication tasks (sensors, chambers).
• Conduct in-process inspections with precision measuring tools to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Maintain cleanliness in machines and work areas.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist (Turning) to join our precision manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in CNC programming, machining operations, and interpreting engineering drawings to produce high-quality components.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Comply with all company safety, health, and quality policies.

2. Interpret technical and engineering drawings to produce products according to specifications.

3. Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs when required.

4. Perform product finishing using Gun Drill and Milling Machines, including:

   • Drilling fittings and holes for Thermowell (flange and track).

   • Tapping track operations.

5. Conduct hydrotesting on finished products.

6. Perform engraving of manufacturing information (e.g., material type) using the punching machine.

7. Carry out grinding and polishing of components.

8. Perform engineering-related jobs such as multiple-point sensors and chamber fabrication.

9. Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring tools to ensure dimensional accuracy.

10. Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping practices in machines and work areas.

11. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process, productivity, and quality.

12. Proficiently perform manual programming using G-code for a variety of designs and materials.

13. Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate superior.

Job Requirements

1. Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC programming for Turning machines.

2. Experience in threading operations (NPT/BSP).

3. Familiar with M-code programming for CNC control functions.

4. Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical diagrams.

5. Good understanding of cutting tools, inserts, and materials used in CNC machining.

6. Able to work independently.

7. Skilled in using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure product accuracy.
