Job summary

Elitez Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a CNC Machinist with 2+ years of hands-on experience in milling/turning, including multi-axis setups. The role requires reading drawings, selecting tools, and performing precision grinding and inspections on 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machines.

The position is on-site at Bedok/Changi/Seletar, with shift work possible. Final assignment will be determined by supervision to meet production needs, and location is non-negotiable.

Qualifications

• Diploma/certificate in Precision Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years hands-on CNC milling/turning experience.
• Experience with 3-, 4-, 5-axis machines and multi-axis machining.
• Proficient with precision measuring instruments and tool/work offset adjustments.
• Experience with surface, ID and OD grinding is a plus.
• Willing to work shifts if required.

Responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate and operate CNC milling and turning machines (3-, 4-, 5-axis).
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specs.
• Load materials, install tools and set offsets/work coordinates.
• Monitor and adjust feeds, speeds, coolant as needed.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections with micrometers, calipers, height gauges and indicators.
• Carry out precision grinding (surface/ID/OD) and wheel balancing.
• Identify dimensional errors and adjust offsets accordingly.
• Conduct routine maintenance and keep work area 5S compliant.
• Follow safety SOPs and company procedures.

Salary

• Junior: $2,200/month
• Senior: $2,600/month

Working Location
Bedok / Changi / Seletar

Final work location will be assigned by the supervisor based on operational requirements. Location is non-negotiable.

Job Responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate and operate CNC milling and turning machines, including 3-axis, 4-axis and 5-axis machines.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and GD&T specifications.
• Load raw materials, select and install cutting tools, and set tool offsets and work coordinates.
• Monitor machine operations and adjust feeds, speeds and coolant flow where required.
• Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges and dial indicators.
• Perform precision surface, ID and OD grinding operations, including wheel dressing and balancing.
• Identify dimensional errors or surface-finish defects and make the necessary offset adjustments.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on assigned machinery.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area in accordance with 5S standards.
• Follow company safety requirements and SOPs.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Certificate/Diploma in Precision Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent trade qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in CNC milling, turning, lathes or multi‑axis machining centres.
• Familiarity with CNC control systems such as Fanuc, Heidenhain, Siemens or Mazak.
• Proficient in using precision measuring instruments and adjusting tool/work offsets.
• Hands‑on experience with surface, ID and OD precision grinding.
• Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
• Willing to work shifts if required.
