Job summary

SSMC (Systems on Silicon Manufacturing Company Pte. Ltd.) is a joint venture between NXP and TSMC. We are seeking an Engineer/Senior Engineer to join the Facilities Department to support electrical systems and related utility facilities in wafer fabrication.

You will help ensure continuous supply and optimum performance of critical facilities. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, system monitoring, and maintaining accurate plant records.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science or Engineering in Electrical, Electronic, Control Engineering or equivalent.
• Basic engineering knowledge including industrial automation & industrial control systems.
• 1–5 years of semiconductor environment, pharmaceutical or petrochemical experience preferred.
• Fresh graduates are welcomed.
• Good problem-solving skills and strong technical knowledge.
• Good team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and implement preventive maintenance programs for systems in charge.
• Carry out repair and troubleshooting to restore systems quickly.
• Monitor system performance and capacity usage with regular reports.
• Formulate operating procedures for optimum system operation.
• Monitor utility consumptions and work with users to reduce usage.
• Track spares and consumables for day-to-day operations.
• Maintain plant histories, drawings, and documentation for future reference.
• Evaluate and recommend spares, consumables, and resources for daily operation.

We're searching for an Engineer/ Senior Engineer to be part of our Facilities Department diverse team of talent. To provide facilities support pertaining to Electrical systems and other miscellaneous works related to wafer fabrication so as to ensure continuous supply of utilities & related facilities at the required performance level or specifications

What you will be working on:

• Formulate and implement preventive maintenance programs for systems in charge so as to ensure that the systems function as intended at all times
• Carry out repair and troubleshooting of systems in order to restore systems to their operating conditions in the shortest possible time
• Monitor & review system performance and capacity usage as well as provide regular reports, so as to recommend & implement improvement/enhancement projects
• Formulate & implement operating procedures to ensure optimum operation of systems
• Monitor and review utility consumptions & work with users to implement projects to reduce the consumption where possible
• Track spares & consumable usage & ensure adequate provision for day to day operation
• Ensure plant histories, drawings, data and other appropriate documentations are being generated & properly filed for future reference & review.
• Evaluate & recommend appropriate spares, consumables & other resources necessary for the day-to-day operation of the systems.

More about you:
