Job summary

The American Club is seeking a senior retail operations lead to manage all Club retail spaces and ensure exceptional service, product quality, and member satisfaction. You will drive revenue through strategic merchandising, inventory control, and strong supplier partnerships.

The role requires strong data-driven decision making, team leadership, and the ability to work weekends/public holidays to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Has at least 5 years of experience in a similar capacity within retail, hospitality, or a members' club environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily retail operations across the Club’s retail spaces, driving operational excellence and customer experience.
• Curate a relevant and commercially successful product assortment with a focus on American goods.
• Manage local and international supplier relationships to ensure cost-effective purchasing and reliable delivery.
• Use retail data and trends to support buying decisions and develop strategies to drive sales and inventory efficiency.
• Oversee merchandising, inventory controls, deliveries, reorder cycles, and discontinuation of slow-moving products.
• Prepare operational and financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and business plans.
• Ensure compliance with Club policies, procurement procedures, financial controls, and audit requirements.
• Develop a high-performing retail team through communication, manpower planning, coaching, and training.
