SEARCH INDEX PTE. LTD.

in Singapore is seeking an AWS Cloud Operations Engineer to manage cloud infrastructure, ensure security, reliability, and performance across production and non-production systems. You will support EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, networking and infrastructure configurations, develop automation with Terraform/CloudFormation, monitor with CloudWatch, and handle incident resolution and after-hours on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in cloud infrastructure or system operations.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform or CloudFormation).
• Scripting with Python, Bash, or PowerShell; familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of cloud networking, Linux/Windows admin, and security best practices.
• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, SysOps, DevOps) preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support AWS cloud infrastructure for secure, reliable environments.

• Develop and maintain infrastructure automation using Terraform/CloudFormation.
• Monitor performance, logging, and alerts with CloudWatch; troubleshoot incidents.
• Support backup, DR, security controls, and compliance requirements.
• Manage cloud networking and connectivity between cloud and on-prem systems.
• Support cost optimisation, maintain technical documentation, and drive improvements.
• Participate in after-hours support for maintenance and incidents.

Job Scope:

• Manage and support AWS cloud infrastructure to ensure secure, reliable, and high-performing environments across production and non-production systems.
• Support cloud services including EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, networking, and infrastructure configurations.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure automation using Terraform/CloudFormation and support deployment activities.
• Monitor system performance, logging, and alerts using CloudWatch and observability tools; perform troubleshooting and incident resolution.
• Support backup, disaster recovery, security controls, and compliance requirements to maintain operational resilience.
• Manage cloud networking, certificate activities, and connectivity between cloud and on-premise systems.
• Support cloud cost optimisation, maintain technical documentation, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in after-hours support for maintenance, deployments, and critical incident activities.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in cloud infrastructure or system operation.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services including EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, and CloudWatch.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of cloud networking concepts, Linux/Windows administration, and security best practices.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace or Grafana is advantageous.
• AWS certification (Solutions Architect, SysOps, DevOps) preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Willing to support after-hours maintenance and incident activities.
