Job summary

GMP RECRUITMENT SERVICES (S) PTE LTD is seeking an experienced tech lead to drive end-to-end technical solutioning for scalable Java-based systems. You will own design decisions, review offshore/vendor solutions, and enforce engineering standards to reduce risk and improve quality.

You will oversee deployment, testing, and release readiness, while mentoring junior engineers and guiding platform modernization initiatives across cloud-native environments with Kubernetes/OpenShift and BPM

Qualifications

• 5 - 8 years in Java (J2EE) and modern front-end frameworks.
• Strong design and governance experience with offshore/vendor oversight.
• Experience with workflow systems; banking/financial services preferred.
• Experience deploying cloud-native Java apps on cloud platforms.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Familiarity with SDLC: Waterfall and Agile.
• Understanding of performance, security, scalability and maintainability.
• Experience leading or mentoring software developers.
• Hands-on with workflow/BPM platforms such as Newgen BPM.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical solutioning from requirements through delivery, ensuring scalable and maintainable designs.
• Own technical design decisions and review offshore/vendor solutions for alignment and quality.
• Enforce engineering standards, conduct design/code reviews, and proactively manage technical risks.
• Provide technical leadership and oversight to offshore and vendor teams, ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables.
• Support testing (unit, integration, UAT), release readiness, deployment, and post-go-live stabilization.
• Drive root cause analysis, continuous improvement, platform modernization, and workflow automation initiatives.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in design, development, and quality assurance.
