Job summary

GMP Technologies is seeking a Java Technical Delivery Lead to steer the design, delivery and quality of workflow and automation initiatives. You will lead technical governance, review designs, and collaborate with offshore and vendor teams to deliver scalable, robust solutions.

The role requires 8+ years of hands-on Java experience (J2EE, Spring) with frontend frameworks, cloud platforms, and containerization. Strong stakeholder management and mentoring skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8+ years hands-on experience with Java (J2EE, Spring) and frontend frameworks.
• Experience overseeing offshore and vendor teams ensuring alignment with standards.
• Proven track record deploying cloud-native Java applications on Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Hands-on experience with containerization (Kubernetes/OpenShift).
• Familiar with Waterfall and Agile SDLC methodologies.
• Strong understanding of non-functional requirements (performance, security, scalability).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management; mentorship experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design, delivery, and quality of Workflow & Automation initiatives.
• Provide technical governance and review design/code with offshore/vendor teams.
• Oversee testing phases (unit, integration, UAT) and assess deployment readiness.
• Review release procedures and enable robust rollback strategies.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers to uphold coding and testing standards.
• Drive continuous improvements in design, delivery processes and platform modernization.
