Job summary

Singtel in Singapore is seeking a Support Engineer to provide operational support for infrastructure and platform services across customer projects, aligned to service levels. The role focuses on maintaining reliable, scalable environments and delivering timely incident resolutions.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 1–2 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure operations preferred.
• Strong knowledge of virtualization and private cloud/public cloud technologies.
• Experience administering system and network infrastructure.
• Practical experience with monitoring, performance management, and capacity planning.

Responsibilities

• Identify and apply Infrastructure and Platform operational best practices.
• Deploy, manage, and operate Public Cloud, Private Cloud, On-premises system and Hybrid Cloud environments.
• Implement automation to streamline provisioning, de-provisioning, and system management processes.
• Proactively monitor infrastructure performance and availability and implement corrective actions.
• Manage infrastructure and Platform changes through formal change request processes and provide status updates.
• Document and maintain infrastructure configurations and provide regular operational reports.
• Respond promptly to incidents, investigate issues, and provide resolutions with timely updates.
• Support backup and restore procedures and disaster recovery planning for business continuity.
• Adhere to security standards and assist in audits and corrective actions.
• Provide 24×7 standby support, as required.
