Job summary

Singtel is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join its Enterprise Platforms Engineering team in Singapore. The role focuses on designing, building and delivering scalable software development infrastructure to support internal tools and platform development.

You will enable reliable deployment, automate processes, and ensure alignment with IT and security standards while collaborating with teams across engineering functions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on DevOps engineering for complex systems.
• Designing, implementing and operating CI/CD and infrastructure automation.
• Strong Linux (Ubuntu) experience.
• Kubernetes and containerised environments experience.
• Public cloud platform experience (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Networking concepts including VPCs, subnets, VPNs, DNS and load balancing.
• Terraform or similar IaC tooling.
• Docker, Kubernetes and Helm for container orchestration.
• CI/CD with GitHub Actions or Jenkins and related tools.
• Configuration management with Ansible, Chef or Puppet.
• Troubleshooting in distributed systems; Git/Jira/Confluence familiarity.
• APIs/CLI/SDKs experience; API gateway tech such as NGINX/Apigee.
• Shell and Python scripting; logging/monitoring tools (Prometheus, CloudWatch, etc.).
• SQL and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL).

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement and automate CI/CD pipelines across dev, staging and prod.
• Develop and maintain DevOps standards and best practices.
• Identify opportunities to improve deployment consistency, reliability and automation.
• Design IaC solutions and automated deployments.
• Develop tools and scripts to automate deployment and operational processes.
• Guide teams toward architecture, security and engineering principles.
• Provide technical guidance on automation; mentor engineers and share knowledge.
• Integrate security controls into DevOps processes.
• Drive continuous improvements in application design and delivery.
• Improve system reliability and recovery through monitoring, alerting and self-healing.
