We are seeking a dedicated and organised Clinic Assistant to join our team at Tembusu Medical Group (Bishan) in the Bishan Central Region. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in ensuring our clinic operates smoothly and efficiently. As a Clinic Assistant, you will be the backbone of our daily operations, supporting both clinical and administrative functions to create a welcoming and professional environment for our patients and medical team.
Greet patients upon arrival and manage the front desk reception area in a professional and friendly manner
Schedule and confirm patient appointments, maintaining accurate records and managing the appointment system efficiently
Process patient registrations and update patient information and medical histories
Handle patient inquiries and direct them appropriately to clinical staff or management
Support clinical staff by preparing treatment rooms, sterilising equipment, and ensuring infection control protocols are followed
Assist with taking vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and weight measurements
Manage medical records and ensure confidentiality and proper filing systems are maintained
Handle administrative tasks including data entry, correspondence, and documentation
Process payments and manage patient billing inquiries
Maintain a clean and hygienic clinic environment in accordance with healthcare standards
Stock supplies and report inventory needs to management
Support general clinic operations and assist other team members as needed
Expected hours: 42 hours per week, inclusive of 2 weekday nights, 1 weekend half days
Secondary education (N-levels or equivalent) at minimum; further qualifications in healthcare or administration are advantageous
Prior experience working in a healthcare setting, clinic, or hospital environment is preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff
Excellent organisational and time management abilities
Proficiency in using computers and familiarity with clinic management systems or electronic health records
Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and data entry
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
A caring and empathetic approach to patient care and support
Flexibility to work within clinic hours and willingness to support team needs
Knowledge of basic medical terminology is helpful but not essential
Valid identification and willingness to undergo background screening as required by healthcare regulations
