DHL Express Singapore is seeking a Classification Agent (South Asia Hub) to classify shipments and assess duties and taxes under national tariff schemes. You will support both formal and informal declarations for imports/exports processed through DHL.

The role emphasizes accuracy in data handling, regulatory compliance, and coordination with customers and authorities. Applicants should have at least 2 years in customs clearance and a related certification; shift work may be required.

Qualifications

• At least GCE O Level.
• Minimum 2 years experience in customs clearance matters within logistics/international transportation or brokerage.
• Customs certification on Import/Export trade or brokerage related subject is preferred.
• Proficient with a computer and typewriting skills.
• Class 3 driving licence is preferred/advantageous.
• Role requires shift work.

Responsabilités

• Classify shipments and determine duties and taxes per national tariff classifications and local valuation guidelines.
• Compute a preliminary assessment of duties and taxes payable and DHL charges.
• Prepare accurate customs data for Customs Formal and Informal entry submissions.
• Validate and correct shipment data to align with customer documents and internal records.
