The Dyson Institute in Singapore is seeking a Customs Classification Specialist to join the Global Customs Team. You will handle HS classification duties, manage item master data in ERP, and support trade compliance across regions while collaborating with operations, procurement, supply chain, and legal teams.

You will develop classification methodologies, deliver trainings, monitor global classification updates, and maintain a compliance dashboard to ensure accurate duty and tax payments.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 3 years of working knowledge of the WCO Harmonised System.
• Technical understanding and experience on multi-jurisdiction classification.
• Experience in classification of home appliances, mechanical & electrical.
• Experience in Binding Tariff Ruling application or equivalent.
• Experience working with SAP is an advantage.
• Broad experience in customs compliance, import and export processes in international settings.
• Strong ability to deal with complex and large amount of data.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Aufgaben

• Act as subject matter expert to support HS classification guidance to various functions within the company, including RDD, logistics, and purchasing to ensure legal requirements are met.
• Own HS code master data in ERP system including new item creation and maintenance of existing data.
• Ensure appropriate documentation on classification methodology used.
• Develop cadence on classification updates in respective systems and updates to market brokers.
• Support business operations on ad-hoc queries to ensure smooth customs clearance and correct duty & tax payments.
• Actively monitor classification changes globally and update internal databases and processes accordingly.
• Establish efficient classification process using software and/or platform.
• Create and deliver classification trainings to internal and external stakeholders and maintain compliance dashboard.
