Qualifications

• 2 years of related GI claims experience or claims experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of claims SOP and understanding of insurance products and services.
• Ability to identify customer-satisfaction issues and escalate to management.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; self-motivated and reliable.
• Strong organizational, time-management and prioritization abilities.
• BCP and PGI certification preferred; ComGI certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle claims within Delegated Authority Limit.
• Seek advice from Senior Executive, Claims and above when needed.
• Advise policyholders and claimants on policy and claims matters.
• Negotiate and settle claims with policyholders, other insurers, third-party claimants, and workshops.
• Ensure accurate reserve planning and assess claims per policy coverage and authority.
• Manage all correspondence and inquiries, including complaints, in a timely manner.
• Liaise with service providers (surveyors, workshops, legal firms) to deliver quality claims service.
• Review claim files and perform other duties as assigned.

About the role

The Claims Executive is the personal claims advisor for the customers. He/She is the expert in handling claims. He/she needs to be decisive, move quickly and able to innovate. In the course of claims work, he/she will work closely within the team and with the Underwriting, Customer Service Centre, Marketing, etc and external service providers to bring forth excellent customer experience and accurate claims settlement.

Responsibilities:

• To handle claims within Delegated Authority Limit
• To seek advise and handling authority from Senior Executive, Claims and above
• Advise policyholders and claimants on policy and claims related matters.
• Able to negotiate and settle claims with policyholders, other insurers, third Party claimants, and workshops accurately and timely.
• Ensure each claim is assessed correctly in accordance to policy coverage and within the Authority Limit given, with adequate reserve set.
• Ensure all correspondence and enquiries, including complaints, are well managed and responded to in a timely manner with excellent claims service.
• Liaise effectively with service providers (eg Surveyor, Workshop, Legal firms) and provide the required support to them, with the objective of delivering quality claims service experience.
• Review claim files.
• Perform other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE

• 2 years of related experience in GI, claims experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of claims related SOP. Full understanding about relevant insurance products and services
• Ability to discern Customer Satisfaction-related issues and escalat to management.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated, reliable and able to work independently
• Strong organizational, time management and prioritization abilities
• BCP and PGI certified preferred
