About the role

Kim Soon Huat Construction Pte Ltd is seeking a talented and dedicated Civil Engineer to join our growing team. This is a full-time position based in the Paya Lebar East Region. As a Civil Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, planning, and supervision of civil engineering projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse construction projects and contribute meaningfully to infrastructure development in Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop civil engineering solutions for construction projects, including site analysis, feasibility studies, and technical drawings

• Conduct site inspections and supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards

• Prepare and review project documentation, including tender documents, method statements, and as-built plans

• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution

• Monitor project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to maintain cost-effectiveness and timely delivery

• Perform quality assurance and quality control checks on construction materials and workmanship

• Liaise with relevant authorities and regulatory bodies to obtain necessary approvals and permits

• Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineering staff

• Prepare technical reports and maintain comprehensive project records

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline from a recognised institution

• Professional Engineering (PE) registration or eligibility for registration with Professional Engineers Board (PEB) is highly desirable

• Minimum 0-3 years of post-graduation experience in civil engineering design, construction supervision, or project management

• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies, and relevant Singapore building codes and standards

• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other engineering design tools

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders

• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety

• Valid driving licence is preferred

• Experience in structural design, foundation engineering, or geotechnical engineering is a plus
