Job summary

Engineers 9000 Ltd in Singapore seeks a civil/structural engineer to lead design, regulatory submissions and project management activities. You will supervise Engineers and Engineering Assistants, ensuring projects comply with codes and safety regulations.

The role requires strong technical and leadership skills, familiarity with Singapore standards, and the ability to coordinate across disciplines. Growth toward PE registration is encouraged in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering recognized by PE Singapore or equivalent.
• 4+ years of consulting, design and project-delivery experience; fresh graduates welcome for engineer positions.
• Progress towards Singapore Professional Engineer registration; PE registration an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore standards, codes, regulatory requirements and submission processes.
• Experience in industrial plants, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, power, port, marine, reclamation or EPC projects is advantageous.
• Strong technical, communication, coordination and leadership skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently or in a team with ad-hoc challenges.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, BIM, and civil engineering software applications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review and coordinate civil and structural designs, calculations, drawings, specifications and reports in compliance with codes and safety regulations.
• Manage regulatory submissions, approvals and technical queries with relevant Singapore authorities.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary design and project interfaces with clients, EPC contractors, architects, M&E consultants and regulatory officers.
• Plan and manage assigned work to ensure delivery within quality, schedule and budget requirements.
• Support site execution, resolve technical issues and provide practical, safe, cost-effective engineering solutions.
• Supervise, mentor and manage Engineers and Engineering Assistants and review their deliverables.

Job description

You will be part of the engineering team responsible for engineering design, regulatory submissions, and project management activities. The role includes leading and supervising Engineers and Engineering Assistants to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review and coordinate civil and structural designs, calculations, drawings, specifications and technical reports in compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Manage regulatory submissions, approvals and technical queries with relevant Singapore authorities.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary design and project interfaces with clients, EPC contractors, architects, M&E consultants and regulatory officers.
• Planned manage assigned work to ensure delivery within project quality, schedule and budget requirements.
• Support site execution, resolve technical issues and provide practical, safe and cost-effective engineering solutions.

Requirements

• Minimum bachelor's degree in civil engineering recognized by the Professional Engineers Board Singapore, or an equivalent recognized qualification.
• Minimum4 years of relevant consulting, design and project-delivery experience. Fresh graduates and entry-level candidates are also welcome to apply for engineer positions.
• Eligible and motivated to progress towards Singapore Professional Engineer registration; existing PE registration is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of Singapore standard and codes, regulatory requirements and statutory submission processes.
• Experience in industrial plants, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, power, port, marine, reclamation or EPC projects is advantageous.
• Strong technical, communication, coordination and leadership skills.
