Job summary

SEARCHASIA CONSULTING PTE. LTD. is seeking a senior civil/structural engineer to lead design efforts from concept to completion, including QP supervision.

You will ensure regulatory compliance and manage submissions to statutory agencies as part of a capable team in Singapore. The role requires a degree or masters in civil engineering, consultancy experience, and registration as a Professional Engineer in Singapore or progress toward PE.

Qualifications

• Must hold a recognised degree or masters in civil engineering.
• Experience with consultancy environments is preferred.
• Professional Engineer registration or progress toward PE in Singapore is expected.

Responsibilities

• Design and supervise civil/structural projects from concept to completion.
• Ensure designs comply with local codes and manage submissions to authorities.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior staff.
• Oversee project planning, budgets, contracts, and schedules.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and M&E teams.
• Enforce safety regulations on site and oversee RE/RTO activities.

Job description

Responsibilties:

• Design & Supervision: Lead civil and structural designs from initial concept to completion, including Qualified Person (QP) supervisory duties.
• Compliance & Submissions: Ensure all designs meet local building codes and manage the submission process to statutory agencies.
• Technical Leadership: Conduct structural analyses, guide engineering teams with technical solutions, and mentor junior staff to develop their potential.
• Project & Financial Management: Oversee project planning, budgets, contracts, and schedules to guarantee timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Manage communication and design coordination across contractors, consultants, and architectural or M&E teams.
• Safety & Site Oversight: Enforce Design for Safety (DfS) regulations and manage the site works of Resident Engineers (RE) and Resident Technical Officers (RTO).

Requirements:

• Degree/Masters in Civil Engineering
• Experience working in Consultancy Firm
• Registered Professional Engineer with PEB Singapore/ Specialized Professional Engineer orCompleted FEE and preparing for Practice of Professional Engineering Exam
