Job summary

Asia Search PTE. LTD. is partnering with a leading construction group seeking a Manager, Civil & Structural to lead design checks from concept through detailed design, ensuring compliance with local codes and statutory requirements.

You will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams on site and in office, mentor engineers, prepare tender documents, and oversee project planning, budgeting, and safety design to drive on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Registered Professional Engineer with PEB Singapore or Specialized Professional Engineer, or completed FE exam and preparing for Practice of Professional Engineering

Responsibilities

• Check and design civil/structural works from concept to detailed design
• Ensure project complies with local codes and authority requirements
• Prepare submissions to statutory agencies and authorities
• Lead analysis and guide engineers on building or civil structures
• Manage project planning, budgeting and contract administration
• Coordinate with stakeholders across civil, architectural, M&E works
• Prepare tender documents and specifications
• Ensure safety design and manage RE and RTO on site
• Design management and coordination with contractors and consultants
• Mentor reporting engineers and designers to develop potential
• Deliver projects on schedule and within budget
• Perform other duties as assigned

Our client is a leader in the construction industry that provides design and build services with an in-house multidisciplinary consultancy. They specialised in building, civil engineering, and infrastructure projects and currently looking for Manager, Civil & Structural to join their team.

Manager, Civil & Structural

Role & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the checking and design of civil and structural works from concept to detailed design and provision of QP supervisory works for projects
• Conversant and ensure that project complies to local code and authority requirement
• Preparation of submissions to statutory agencies and authorities
• Able to perform analysis and/ or guide engineers to analyse building or civil structures and provide technical advice and solutions when working with stakeholders
• Carry out project management, planning, financial management project, contract administration, ensure key deadlines are met and staff work together effectively
• Liaise with multiple stakeholdes for civil structure, architectural, mechanical and electrical works
• Preparation of tender documents and specifications
• Ensure design for safety is adhered to and manage the works of RE and RTO on site
• Design management, coordination with contractors, subcontractors and external consultants
• Proactive communication, mentoring and guiding the reporting Engineers and Designers to develop their potential
• Ensure the smooth completion of the project within schedule and budget
• Perform any other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil & structural Engineering
• Registered Professional Engineer with PEB Singapore/ Specialized Professional Engineer orCompleted FEE and preparing for Practice of Professional Engineering ExamDesign for Safety Professional
• More than 10 yearsexperience in both construction management and design
• Conversant in Engineering analysis design software, BIM software, Geotechnical Software
• Due to the nature of the project, only Singaporeans will be considered for the position.
