Job summary

Basil Technologies Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking a motivated Citrix Administrator to support Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments.

The role involves maintaining infrastructure, troubleshooting user issues, and ensuring high availability of virtual desktop services. Responsibilities include monitoring Citrix components, providing Level 1/2 support, configuring Delivery Controllers, StoreFront, VDAs, and collaborating with AD, DNS, DHCP, and GPOs.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience administering or supporting Citrix environments.
• Basic knowledge of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) or XenApp/XenDesktop.
• Familiarity with Citrix Workspace and StoreFront.
• Knowledge of Windows Server 2019/2022 administration.
• Understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Basic understanding of virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, Hyper‑V).
• Familiarity with Citrix Director for monitoring and troubleshooting.
• PowerShell scripting is an advantage.
• Good networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls).
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments.
• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for Citrix incidents and requests.
• Troubleshoot login, application launch, printing, and profile issues.
• Assist in installing, configuring, and maintaining Citrix components (Delivery Controllers, StoreFront, Workspace, VDAs).
• Review system health, user sessions, and performance in Citrix Director.
• Create/manage machine catalogs and delivery groups under supervision.
• Support Windows Server and Windows desktop OS in the Citrix env.
• Perform health checks, monitoring, and basic performance tuning.
• Assist with patching and upgrading Citrix servers during maintenance windows.
• Work with Active Directory to manage users, groups, and GPOs.
• Support printer mapping, profile management, and file shares.
• Document procedures and configurations; escalate complex issues.

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated Citrix Administrator with hands‑on experience supporting Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining Citrix infrastructure, troubleshooting user issues, and ensuring the availability and performance of virtual desktop services.

What will you do:

• Monitor and maintain Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments.
• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for Citrix-related incidents and service requests.
• Troubleshoot user login, application launch, printing, and profile issues.
• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Citrix components, including Delivery Controllers, StoreFront, Citrix Workspace, and Virtual Delivery Agents (VDAs).
• Monitor Citrix Director and review system health, user sessions, and performance.
• Create and manage machine catalogs and delivery groups under supervision.
• Support Windows Server and Windows desktop operating systems used in the Citrix environment.
• Perform routine health checks, system monitoring, and basic performance tuning.
• Assist with patching and upgrading Citrix servers during maintenance windows.
• Work with Active Directory to manage users, groups, and Group Policies.
• Support printer mapping, profile management, and file share access.
• Document operational procedures, troubleshooting steps, and system configurations.
• Escalate complex issues to senior Citrix administrators or infrastructure teams.
• Participate in disaster recovery testing and scheduled maintenance activities.

The ideal candidate should possess:

• Around 1 year of experience administering or supporting Citrix environments.
• Basic knowledge of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) or Citrix XenApp/Xen Desktop.
• Familiarity with Citrix Workspace and StoreFront.
• Knowledge of Windows Server 2019/2022 administration.
• Understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Basic understanding of VMware vSphere, Hyper‑V, or other virtualization platforms.
• Familiarity with Citrix Director for monitoring and troubleshooting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Citrix Certified Associate (CCA) or equivalent certification is an advantage.
• Microsoft Windows Server certification is desirable.
