Job summary

A-STAR TESTING & INSPECTION (S) PTE. LTD. is seeking a senior Civil/Structural Engineer with extensive experience to lead complex building and infrastructure projects in Singapore.

The role requires deep knowledge of structural steel works, drainage, and a strong focus on safety and regulatory compliance. Candidates should hold a recognized civil/structural engineering degree, be accredited with relevant Singapore engineering bodies, and demonstrate capability to manage multi-disciplinary teams

Qualifications

• Minimum 20 years of civil structural engineering experience, incl. 15+ years on large-scale projects.
• Degree in civil/structural engineering recognized by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore.
• Accreditation with JAC of IES and ACE Singapore.
• Currently employed under the Contractor for at least 5 years.
• Proficient in contract administration with Public Service Sector Conditions of Contract (PSSCOC).
• Demonstrated leadership to direct and manage project teams to meet objectives with high safety standards.
• Oversee QSS manpower deployment and welfare of personnel.
• Familiar with Aerodrome Manual, Airside Works Procedures Manual, AOS requirements, and safety manuals; stay updated.

Job description

Key Requirements:

• a. Minimum 20 years of relevant experience as a civil C structural engineer, of which at least 15 years on projects similarin size and complexity; in particular major construction works in buildings structural steel works and drainage.
• b. Possess a civil and structural engineering degree recognized by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore.
• c. Be accredited with the Joint Accreditation Committee ofthe Institution of Engineers Singapore and the Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore.
• d.In current employment under the Contractor for a minimum of 5 years.
• e.Proficient in contract administration with Public Service Sector Conditions of Contract (PSSCOC).
• f. Provide overall team direction and management to realize the project objectives and activities as required by the Superintending Officer and consultants, ensuring that the project is delivered to the highestprofessional technical and safety standards.
• g. Oversee and administer the QSS manpower deployment based on the work schedules of the main contractors and ensure the welfare of the personnel are well taken care of.
• h. Conversant with all procedures in the AerodromeManual, “Airside works Procedures Manual”, Airport Operational and Safety (AOS) requirements”, and Workplace Safety C Health Manual.
