Job summary

A-STAR Testing & Inspection (S) Pte. Ltd. is seeking a highly experienced architectural professional for a senior role in Singapore.

The candidate will lead and direct project teams on major construction works, including buildings, tunnels and deep excavation, ensuring delivery to the highest technical and safety standards. The role requires 20+ years in architecture, registration with the Board of Architects, strong contract administration under PSSCOC, and capability to manage manpower

Qualifications

• 20 years or more of relevant experience as an architectural professional, with at least 15 years on projects of similar size and complexity (major construction works in buildings, tunnels and deep excavation)
• Architectural degree recognized by the Board of Architects and currently registered with the Board of Architects
• Currently employed under the Contractor for a minimum of 5 years
• Proficient in contract administration with Public Service Sector Conditions of Contract (PSSCOC)
• Ability to provide overall team direction and management to realise project objectives and activities as required by the Superintending Officer and consultants, ensuring delivery to the highest professional, technical and safety standards
• Oversee and administer QSS manpower deployment based on work schedules of main contractors and relevant welfare of personnel
• Conversant with Aerodrome Manual, Airside Works Procedures Manual, Airport Operational and Safety (AOS) requirements, and Workplace Safety C Health Manual, with commitment to staying updated on revisions

Job description

Key Requirements:

• a. Minimum 20 yearsof relevant experience as an architectural professional, of which at least 15years on projects similar in size and complexity; in particular, architecturalworks in major construction works in buildings, tunnelsand deep excavation.
• b. Possess an Architectural degree recognized by the Board of Architects and is currently registered withthe Board of Architects.
• c. In current employment under the Contractor for a minimum of 5 years.
• d. Proficient in contract administration with Public Service Sector Conditions of Contract (PSSCOC).
• e. Provide overall team direction and management to realize the project objectives and activities as required by the Superintending Officer and consultants, ensuring that the project is delivered to the highestprofessional technical and safety standards.
• f. Oversee and administer the QSS manpower deployment based on the work schedules of the main contractors and ensure the welfare of the personnel are well taken care of.
• g. Conversant with all procedures in the Aerodrome Manual, “Airside works Procedures Manual", Airport Operational and Safety (AOS) requirements", and Workplace Safety C Health Manual. To make conscious effort to be constantly updatedon any subsequent revisions to the above-mentioned manuals, procedures and all applicable airport circulars.
