Job summary

United Overseas Bank Limited (UOB) in Singapore seeks a Senior leader to define and drive the Data Products and Data-as-a-Service strategy for the bank. You will own the operating model, governance, and value measurement, partnering with business units to deliver scalable data capabilities and monetisation opportunities.

You will lead a cross-functional team across data engineering, platform teams, governance, and risk, ensuring secure, production-grade data products and strong stakeholder

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in enterprise data applications or related leadership roles.
• Proven track record leading enterprise-scale data initiatives in banking, financial services, or regulated environments.
• Strong experience building or scaling data products, data-as-a-service capabilities, or self-service data platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to partner with senior stakeholders to shape demand, define value, and drive outcomes.
• Strong understanding of data governance, quality, metadata, lineage, and risk controls.

Responsibilities

• Set the enterprise vision, strategy, and roadmap for Data Products and Data-as-a-Service.
• Define the data product operating model, ownership, lifecycle, governance, and value measurement.
• Prioritize high-value data product use cases linked to owners, pathways, and measurable outcomes.
• Promote a product-led mindset and drive reusable, governed data products across the bank.
• Lead the data enablement shopfront with services, training, and user support.
• Oversee engineering, curation, and publication of high-quality datasets for analytics and decisioning.
• Develop enterprise data models, definitions, and reusable patterns for consistency and scale.
• Operationalise data product apps and self-service channels with governance and adoption baked in.
• Partner with technology to ensure production-grade, secure, well-documented data products.
• Provide end-to-end data support for strategic initiatives and scalable enterprise adoption.
• Identify data monetisation opportunities and define adoption pathways and success metrics.
• Establish and lead a Data Products Centre of Excellence with standards and governance guidance.
• Build a multidisciplinary team across data product management, engineering enablement, governance, and adoption.
• Foster a culture of customer-centricity, accountability, innovation, reuse, and continuous improvement.
