Job summary

ALL THE GREAT THINGS PTE. LTD. is seeking a reliable kitchen team member to support the Sous Chef and Senior Chefs in daily duties. You will prepare daily items, uphold hygiene and safety, and coordinate tasks to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Applicants should be punctual, communicative, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Weekend and public holiday availability is required to join the team.

Qualifications

• Experienced in using cutting tools and cookware.
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly responsible and reliable.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow team members as part of a team.
• Able to work on weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Be punctual and presentable at all times.
• Report to and support the Sous Chef / Senior Chef de Parties in their duties in running the kitchen.
• Prepare daily food items and complete assigned duties to meet company quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with all legally required hygiene and safety practices and maintain cleanliness and safety in the kitchen and related areas.
• Coordinate daily tasks effectively with team members to support smooth kitchen operations.
• Assist in supervising line cooks as needed to maintain workflow and quality.
• Estimate daily production needs and inspect raw and cooked food products to ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain high quality in food production, preparation, and presentation according to SOP.
• Monitor guest satisfaction, food quality, operational efficiency, and food costs continuously.
• Apply knowledge of standard procedures and policies for food preparation, receiving, storage, and sanitation.
• Maintain full awareness of menu items, including recipes, production methods, and presentation standards.
• Follow proper food preservation standards to handle all food products at correct temperatures.
• Check expiry dates and ensure proper storage of food items within the assigned section.
