Job summary

Common Man Coffee Roasters is seeking experienced Chef de Parties who are ready to take pride in their craft, work with a passionate team, and grow their culinary careers in a fast-paced café environment.

Prepare signature brunch dishes and seasonal items, maintain consistency and quality, support daily kitchen operations, uphold food hygiene and safety, and collaborate with kitchen and front‑of‑house teams to deliver an exceptional dining experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in cafés, restaurants, or all‑day dining kitchens is preferred.
• Passion for cooking and delivering quality food.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Leadership experience is an advantage for Chef de Partie positions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook CMCR's signature brunch dishes and seasonal menu items.
• Ensure every dish is served with consistency, quality, and attention to detail.
• Support daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, mise en place, cooking, and service.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and workplace safety.
• Work closely with the kitchen and front‑of‑house teams to deliver an exceptional dining experience.
• Assist with stock rotation, food storage, and minimising wastage.
• For senior roles, guide junior team members and support the smooth running of kitchen operations.

Working Schedule

• 44 hours per week
• 5-day work week
