Job summary

GROUP CHAT BISTRO PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced kitchen lead to oversee food preparation, menu design, and presentation in a vibrant Singapore kitchen.

The role requires managing stock, supervising staff, controlling costs, and ensuring safety standards, including MOM compliance. Candidates should be able to work 6 days a week, including weekends and public holidays, and have strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a professional kitchen environment is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant kitchen or food prep experience preferred.
  • Able to perform shift; work on weekends and Public Holidays.
  • Able to work a 6-day work week, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Strong teamwork and communication; willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare food to standard operating procedures.
  • Design new recipes, plan menus, and plate presentations.
  • Ensure dishes are prepared promptly with freshness and quality.
  • Store, prepare, and present food per safety regulations.
  • Manage stock, inventory control, and ordering of supplies.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and provide on-the-job training.
  • Monitor food costs, portion control, and wastage.
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and MOM requirements.
  • Obtain feedback and address customer concerns professionally.

Job description

Responsibilities andDuties:
  • Responsible for food preparation and cooking to standard operating procedures
  • Design new recipes, plan menus, and select appropriate plate presentations to enhance customer experience.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared promptly, maintaining freshness, consistency, and high-quality standards.
  • Store, prepare, and present food incompliance with safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Manage stock-checking, inventory control and ordering of supplies to support smooth kitchen operations.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, delegate tasks, and provide on-the-job training to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Monitor food costs, portion control, and wastage to maintain profitability while upholding quality standards.
  • Ensure adherence to workplace safety regulations, fire safety procedures, and Ministry of Manpower (MOM)requirements.
  • Obtain feedback on food and service quality and address customer concerns or complaints professionally.
Requirements
