Job summary

Singapore Discovery Centre is seeking a Manager to oversee the building’s infrastructure, ensuring it remains safe, efficient, and well-maintained to support the smooth operation of the Centre.

This leadership position drives internal teams and contractors to uphold system performance and safety standards, while also spearheading the transition to Integrated Facilities Management and Building Information Modelling (BIM) / Digital Twin.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience managing commercial, hospitality, attraction or mixed building developments.
• Minimum 3 years in managerial role managing hard services.
• Certified as Fire Safety Manager or Senior Fire Safety Manager; FSM registration required.
• Strong knowledge of statutory codes, building services, safety and energy management.
• Familiar with BIM, CMMS and digital asset management.
• Experience with government procurement and contract management.

Responsibilities

• Lead hard services including M&E, ACMV, plumbing, fire protection, civil, and infrastructure systems.
• Develop long-term maintenance and capital upgrade strategies for ageing facilities.
• Ensure compliance with codes, fire safety, and engineering best practices.
• Oversee BIM adoption and digital asset tools for maintenance planning.
• Manage contractor performance, SLAs, and transition to Integrated Facilities Management.
• Lead safety, risk assessments, PTW processes, and incident investigations.
• Prepare budgets and monitor KPIs; drive CAPEX justifications.
• Coordinate with internal teams during incidents and drills.
