Job summary

Salling Search is currently recruiting for a Category Manager for a leading ship management company. This role leads spare parts procurement with a strong focus on propulsion systems, offering the chance to shape category strategy for a diverse global fleet.

You will develop and implement strategies, negotiate supplier contracts, collaborate with technical and finance teams, and drive inventory optimisation while ensuring compliance with maritime standards such as IMO and SOLAS.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, preferably in category management or strategic sourcing.
• Maritime industry experience with vessel owners or operators.
• Engineering background enabling technical evaluation of spare parts.
• Fluent English communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally at short notice.
