We are looking for individuals experienced in managing carrier relationships with mobile operators, both international and domestic, to support our voice business. This role is an individual contributor with hands‑on experience working with telecommunications carriers and aggregators. The candidate should be familiar with SMS aggregation, route management, major SMS players, acquisition of routes, in‑country SMS features and regulations; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.

Main Responsibilities

• Managing partnerships with carriers, mobile operators and SMS aggregators.
• Ensuring 8x8 has the best cost, quality, reliability, features and support in the responsible territories through regular communication and negotiations.
• Providing up‑to‑date market and competition knowledge, regulations and trends.
• Working with existing partners to expand coverage and footprint.
• Working with the wholesale team to manage bilateral relationships for optimal benefit to 8x8.
• Working with Sales to identify opportunities and build new destinations and features competitively.
• Monitoring and analyzing traffic and business performance proactively.
• Optimizing routing and delivery worldwide.
• Processing price changes promptly.
• Coordinating with suppliers and operations team to investigate and remedy issues when needed.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Experience working in international telecommunications carrier relations.
• Competent knowledge in the international and regional A2P messaging market.
• Experience working with SMS aggregators commercially and technically is a strong advantage.
• Pro‑active team player with excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, able to work with cross‑functional global teams.
• Hands‑on doer capable of generating and following leads, closing deals, managing ongoing partnerships, and driving business forward.
• Ability to forecast, analyze, and execute go‑to‑market strategies to achieve goals.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, responsibility, initiative, and commitment.
