Job summary

5G-Starlink Pte. is seeking a CAD Designer to generate drawings and designs using AutoCAD, supporting complex projects. You will work with the engineering and operations teams to create and modify concepts, determine the type of detailed drawings required, and coordinate with field personnel.

The role requires 3–5 years in a progressive engineering position, 2 years AutoCAD experience, and at least 1 year with ArcGIS. Local codes and regulations knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• Equivalent Education/Experience: High School Diploma.
• 3-5 years of experience within a progressive Engineering position.
• 2 years of experience using AutoCAD.
• At least 1 year of experience working with ArcGIS.
• Understanding of local codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Draft concept plans and specifications into detailed renderings with AutoCAD.
• Collaborate with Engineering to design Natural Gas and Fiber systems.
• Update drawings per permitting comments.
• Analyze and markup existing reports, maps, drawings, and data to plan and design projects.
• Collaborate with engineering staff to produce accurate designs.
• Maintain CAD file structures, drawing revisions and tracking in AutoCAD.
• Stay up to date on materials, software tech and trends.
• Run simulations and stress-tests on 3D models before prototyping.
• Perform data research to support Engineering activities.
• Assist VP of Engineering as needed.

Job description

The CAD Designer will be responsible for the generation of drawings and designs with the use of AutoCAD, to support complex projects for the company. The CAD Designer will work closely with the engineering and operations team to create and modify design concepts, determine nature and type of required detailed drawings, and coordinate work with field personnel.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Responsible for drafting concept plans and specifications into detailed renderings and geographic representations with the use of AutoCAD.
• In collaboration with the Engineering team this position will design both Natural Gas and Fiber systems.
• Work with the engineers to update drawings per comments received from the permitting process.
• Analyzes and performs mark-ups of existing reports, maps, drawings, and other construction detailed data to plan and design projects.
• Collaborates with engineering staff to produce accurate designs.
• Maintains CAD file structures, drawing revisions, and how they are tracked in AutoCAD software.
• Stays up to date on all modern advancements in materials, software technologies, and trends.
• Runs simulations and stress-tests on all 3D models before prototyping.
• Performs research compilation of data and other engineering related tasks as necessary to support Engineering activities.
• Support the Vice President of Engineering in all necessary capacities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
