Job summary

DURKEE Asia Pacific PTE. LTD. is seeking a Business Development Executive to drive growth in building materials and solutions.

Based in Singapore, you will develop relationships with developers, main contractors, consultants, and design firms, identify tender opportunities, and promote the company’s products across projects from inception to delivery. The role requires a diploma or degree in marketing, engineering, or construction, at least two years in project sales within the construction

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Engineering, Building, Construction, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in project sales within building materials, construction equipment, or engineering industry.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage Business Development relations with project stakeholders including developers, main contractors, subcontractors, consultants and design firms.
• Identify and pursue new construction projects, tender opportunities and government projects.
• Promote building materials, equipment and technical solutions to clients and prepare quotations and proposals.
• Coordinate the sales cycle from tendering and contract award to delivery and project completion with Production, Procurement, Logistics and Installation teams.
• Maintain regular customer visits to strengthen long-term relationships and identify opportunities for repeat business.
• Monitor market trends and industry developments to inform sales strategies and represent the company at industry events.

Job Title: Business Development Executive (Building Materials / Solution)

Working hours: 9am - 6pm
Location: Kaki Bukit
Salary: $3500 - $4500

Responsibilities:

Business Development

• Develop and maintain relationships with project stakeholders, including developers, main contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and design firms.
• Identify and pursue new construction projects, tender opportunities, and government projects.
• Build and expand a strong customer network to generate new business opportunities.

Project Sales

• Promote the Company's building materials, equipment, and technical solutions.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products and solutions.
• Prepare quotations, tender submissions, and commercial proposals.
• Conduct commercial negotiations and secure project orders.

Project Coordination

• Manage projects throughout the entire sales cycle, from tendering and contract award to delivery and project completion.
• Coordinate with Production, Procurement, Logistics, and Installation teams to ensure timely project execution.
• Resolve issues and provide support during project implementation.

Customer Relationship Management

• Conduct regular customer visits to strengthen long-term business relationships.
• Respond to customer enquiries, coordinate after-sales support, and resolve customer concerns.
• Identify opportunities for repeat business and cross-selling within existing accounts.

Market Intelligence

• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
• Provide market insights and recommend business development strategies.
• Represent the Company at industry exhibitions, seminars, product launches, and networking events.

Sales Performance

• Achieve assigned sales revenue, project, and profitability targets.
• Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline updates, project progress reports, and management reports.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degreein Marketing, Engineering, Building, Construction, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experienceinproject saleswithin thebuilding materials, construction equipment, or engineering industry.
• Good understanding of theSingapore construction industry, including project tendering and contract processes.
• Proven ability todevelop new business and manage project-based sales opportunities.
• Excellentcommunication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Proficient inMicrosoft Office applications and ERP/CRM systems.
• Self-motivatedand able towork independentlywith minimal supervision.
• Comfortable withregular customer visits and occasional business travel.
• Possess avalid Class 3 driving licence(preferred but not mandatory).
