Qualifications

Business Analyst – Pricing & Billing (Banking Payments System)

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with strong expertise in banking pricing, billing, and payments. This role will support the design, enhancement, and governance of pricing models, fee structures, billing processes, and payment workflows across retail, corporate, and transaction banking products. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of banking operations, regulatory requirements, and end-to-end payment lifecycles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for banking product pricing, service charges, transaction fees, interest calculations, billing cycles, and payment processing workflows.
• Work closely with Product, Operations, Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Technology teams to design and implement pricing frameworks and fee structures aligned with banking policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, BRDs/FRDs, process maps, user stories, and acceptance criteria for core banking and payment system enhancements.
• Support configuration and enhancement of billing engines within Core Banking Systems (CBS), cards platforms, digital banking, and transaction banking systems.
• Ensure accurate fee computation, invoicing, interest accruals, settlement, reconciliation, and revenue recognition processes.
• Validate compliance with banking regulations, central bank guidelines, AML requirements, tax rules, and audit controls related to pricing and billing.
• Partner with Risk and Compliance teams to ensure transparent customer disclosures, fair pricing practices, and adherence to regulatory reporting standards.
• Lead UAT cycles, conduct data validation, perform impact analysis for pricing changes, and support go-live activities.
• Identify opportunities to automate billing controls, strengthen revenue assurance, and reduce operational risk.
• Prepare business impact assessments and change management documentation for pricing revisions and new product launches.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or Information Systems.
• Strong experience as a Business Analyst within banking, payments, or financial services.
• Strong understanding of retail banking, corporate banking, cards, transaction banking, or digital payments pricing models.
• Experience working with Core Banking Systems (e.g., Finacle, Flexcube, T24), payment platforms (SWIFT, RTGS, ACH), or card processing systems.
• Good knowledge of banking regulations, regulatory reporting, fee transparency requirements, and audit controls.
• Experience in billing engines, reconciliation processes, revenue assurance, and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SQL, Excel, or data tools.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and strong stakeholder management skills.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with senior stakeholders across Business and Technology.
