Job summary

Public Service Division in Singapore is seeking a Deputy/Assistant Manager for Bus Service Standards to help develop and administer frameworks, monitor performance indicators, and report on bus service quality.

You will review operator requests, maintain data accuracy in the bus management system, develop new standards including autonomous buses, and prepare regular performance reports for senior management. Collaboration with operators and stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in Statistics / Business Analytics / Operations Research or any quantitative discipline.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, meticulous and structured in approach.
• Able to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment.
• Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills with experience handling large datasets.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with data analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, Python) is an advantage.
• Willingness to conduct fieldwork and support operational activities and events.

Responsibilities

• Developing and administering frameworks for bus service standards.
• Monitor, analyse and report KPIs for bus service performance.
• Ensure bus operators meet service quality standards and review exception requests.
• Manage two key performance frameworks measuring reliability of bus services.
• Keep the bus management system up to date with accurate data and reports.
• Develop new frameworks and standards for future services (e.g., autonomous buses).
• Prepare regular reports and analysis for senior management.
• Work with bus operators to improve service reliability and respond to public feedback.
