Job summary

sggovterp is seeking a Deputy/Assistant Manager in Bus Service Development to join the regulatory team in Singapore. You will evaluate applications for Bus Service Licences and for bus stop usage, monitor operations, and recommend actions for non-compliance with licensing conditions.

You will help review and develop rules, guidelines, and policies to keep the regulatory framework effective, while collaborating with agencies, operators, and community stakeholders on transport-related matters.

Qualifications

• Preferably at least 2 years of relevant working experience.
• Organised and able to work with minimal supervision, to manage tasks and projects according to schedule.
• Positive attitude with good interpersonal skills, able to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess regulatory, licensing and operational issues.
• Excellent English; prepare and deliver clear written, verbal and visual proposals to senior management.
• Resourceful, self-motivated and capable of thriving in an agile, fast-paced environment.
• A good team player who can collaborate across teams and agencies.
• Candidates without relevant experience but with strong potential will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate Bus Service Licence applications and bus stop usage requests.
• Monitor bus service operations and recommend follow-up actions for non-compliance with licensing conditions.
• Review and develop rules, regulations, guidelines and policies for an effective regulatory framework.
• Review operational guidelines and procedures to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with government agencies, public and private bus operators, and stakeholders on transport-related matters.
• Address public feedback on bus service and regulatory matters.
• Support efforts to make public transport a choice mode.
