Job summary

Aon plc is seeking a Broker, Retrocession to support key retrocession clients in Asia, with emphasis on Asia-Pacific and South Korea. You will work with regional and global teams to provide market insights and coordinate inward business strategies across regions.

Travel within Asia to present to clients and prospects is required. The role requires 1–3 years in treaty reinsurance or related fields, strong interpersonal skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Ideally 1–3 years of experience in treaty reinsurance related work at an insurance company, reinsurance company, or reinsurance intermediary is a strong plus but not strictly required.
• Strong interpersonal skills, client management and communication capabilities and the ability to interface with various business units.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to travel within the Asia region to facilitate client presentations, seminars and conferences as required.
• High self-motivation and ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Ability to work in a collaborative and matrixed environment.

What the day will look like

Support key retrocession clients:

• Assist regional retro team and relevant local team to provide best-in-class services to key retrocession clients, especially focused on Asia regions and South Korea
• Work with global teams to provide leading market insights to local teams and clients
• Work with regional and global teams to coordinate effective inwards business strategies for key retrocession clients across the regions

Assist technical analytic support within teams:

• Work with regional retro team across Asia Pacific to build business intelligence database

Support new business opportunities:

• Assist retrocession growth initiatives to effectively sell Aon's value proposition toward target prospects across Asia regions

Skills and experience that will lead to success
