Job summary

The King's Chippy in Sentosa is seeking a British Comfort Food Chef to lead authentic Fish & Chips, Hotdogs and Chicken Wings in a busy casual dining kitchen, ensuring quality and consistency.

You will manage prep, maintain safety standards, train junior staff, collaborate with front-of-house, and create visually appealing dishes and social media-ready presentations for a memorable dining experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a chef in a professional kitchen
• Specialism in casual dining and British comfort food is preferred
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and safety standards
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and cook authentic Fish and Chips, Hotdogs and Chicken Wings according to recipes and standards
• Manage mise en place and maintain an organised station during service
• Monitor food quality and presentation to meet brand standards
• Adhere to food safety, storage, and handling regulations
• Maintain cleanliness of cooking station and equipment
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and timely delivery
• Mentor junior kitchen staff and assist training
• Communicate with front-of-house about specials and dietary requirements
• Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management
• Contribute to menu development and recipe improvements
• Assist with social media content and maintain appealing food presentation
