Job summary

Job description

The Duties and Responsibilities of a Branch Manager can be broadly categorized into:

• Branch Operations to support frontline and backroom (including staff & premises)
• Deposits, Loans & Marketing

Branch Operations

Oversee the administrative and operational activities of the Branch which include the following:

• Conform and adhere to policies, procedures, guidelines of the Company and compliant to circulars, regulations and advisory issued by the regulatory bodies/authorities.
• Periodic reviews on controls for operational risks and processes.
• Implement workflow process improvements and facilitate effective communications and feedback on changes.
• Manage and optimize resources in terms of cash and manpower for efficiency.
• Authorize and review daily transactions of the Branch relating to counter products/loans/services.
• Staff management in relation to supervision, coaching, motivation and delegation.
• Branch management in respect of security and safety pertaining to premises and operations.
• Manage and control consumption of security documents eg. Fixed Deposit Receipts, Official Receipts, vouchers and stationery for counter products etc for reporting to Printing Committee.

Deposits, Loans & Marketing

• Frontline support in maintaining consistent standards of service delivery; meeting customers’ expectations and enhanced experience for garnering deposits to meet funding requirements of loan books.
• Generating profits and income from marketing of loans, products and services.
• Prioritizing plans for sales and deposit garnering to meet budgets.
• Managing costs of funds and costs of deposits.
• Meeting loan and deposit budgets.
• Participation in projects and committees in relation to Branch administrative and operational activities e.g. Uniform Committee, Product Launch Project, Social/Community efforts on Ageing etc
• Participation as member of Printing Committee (on rotational basis) for stocks collation and order.
• Committee representation (on rotational basis) for surveys on market trends and updates.
• HDB Quarterly Report to Management (on rotational basis).
• Quarterly Review of Banks and Finance Companies performance and results on Zone basis.

Others

• Appointment as Zone Heads in various activities entrusted to each Zone.
• Any other duties that may be assigned to you from time to time by the Company or Officers acting on behalf of the Company.
