Job summary

IAQ ENGINEERING (SG) PTE. LTD. is seeking a BIM Coordinator / Drafter to manage BIM models and engineering drawings for cleanroom and high‑tech facility projects in Singapore.

You will support tender, design through construction and handover. You will produce accurate 2D/3D drawings, coordinate multidisciplinary models, perform clash detection and ensure constructible layouts aligned with project requirements.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of BIM modelling, drafting or coordination experience.
• Experience in semiconductor/cleanroom or high‑tech facilities is advantageous.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs and architectural drawings.
• Good understanding of BIM coordination workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and update BIM models for multidisciplinary systems.
• Coordinate models across MEP, architectural, structural and facility services.
• Perform clash detection and resolve constructability conflicts.
• Coordinate model revisions with engineers, contractors and subcontractors.
• Contribute to tender drawings and technical submissions.
• Support site measurements and update drawings accordingly.
• Maintain drawing numbering, revision control and file organization.
• Review layouts for installation feasibility.

Job description

1. Position Summary

The BIMCoordinator / Drafter will be responsible for the preparation, coordination andmanagement of BIM models and engineering drawings for cleanroom, semiconductor,ACMV/HVAC, process utility and industrial facility projects. The rolewill support engineering and project teams from tender and design developmentthrough construction, coordination, installation and as-built handover. Thesuccessful candidate should be capable of producing accurate 2D and 3Dengineering drawings, coordinating multidisciplinary BIM models, identifyingclashes and ensuring that engineering layouts are constructible and alignedwith project requirements.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. BIMModelling & Coordination

• Develop, maintain and update BIMmodels for multidisciplinary engineering systems.
• Coordinate models across mechanical,electrical, piping, architectural, structural and facility services.
• Perform clash detection and identifyrouting, space and constructability conflicts.
• Coordinate model revisions withengineers, project teams, contractors and subcontractors.
• Participate in BIM coordination anddesign review meetings.
• Ensure models are properlycoordinated before issue for construction.
• Maintain model accuracy andconsistency throughout the project lifecycle.

B. EngineeringDrawing Preparation

Prepare andrevise drawings including:

• General Arrangement Drawings
• Equipment Layouts
• ACMV / HVAC Layouts

• Cleanroom Layouts

C. MultidisciplinaryEngineering Coordination

• Coordinate engineering serviceswithin congested project areas.
• Ensure adequate clearance betweenpiping, ducting, equipment, cable containment, structures and architecturalelements.
• Coordinate equipment locations,service routes, access requirements and maintenance clearances.
• Coordinate ceiling-mounted andoverhead services.
• Coordinate service penetrations,utility drops and equipment interfaces.
• Review layouts for installationfeasibility and constructability.
• Work closely with engineering teamsto incorporate technical requirements into coordinated models.

D. ClashDetection & Constructability Review

• Perform model clash detection using BIM coordination software.
• Categorise and track clashes.
• Coordinate clash resolution with relevant engineering disciplines.
• Review service routing for constructability and accessibility.
• Highlight design conflicts before construction.
• Support preparation of coordinated installation drawings.

E. Tender& Proposal Support

• Assist engineering teams in preparing tender drawings and layouts.
• Develop preliminary equipment and utility layouts.
• Support quantity take-off where required.
• Update drawings based on tender clarifications and client requirements.
• Assist in preparation of presentation drawings and technical submissions.

F. Site& Construction Support

• Conduct site measurements and surveys when required.
• Update drawings based on actual site conditions.
• Support site teams in resolving installation and coordination issues.
• Prepare revised drawings and details for site implementation.
• Incorporate approved site changes into BIM models.
• Maintain accurate redline and as-built records

G. Document & Drawing Control

• Maintain proper drawing numbering and revision control.
• Ensure all drawings follow company and project drafting standards.
• Maintain organised BIM and CAD file structures.
• Update drawing registers where required.
• Ensure latest approved drawings are used for coordination and construction.
• Assist with preparation of final as-built documentation.

H. SoftwareSkills

Candidatesshould preferably be proficient in:

• Autodesk Revit
• AutoCAD
• Navisworks Manage
• BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud
• Microsoft Office

3. Qualifications

The successful candidate shouldpossess:

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, BIM, Drafting or related discipline.

Minimum 3-5 years of relevant BIM modelling, drafting or coordination experience preferred.

Experience in semiconductor, cleanroom, industrial, pharmaceutical or high-technology facility projects will be advantageous.

Good understanding of engineering drawings and construction coordination.

Able to interpret P&IDs, equipment layouts, architectural drawings and engineering specifications.

Good understanding of BIM coordination and clash detection workflows.
