Job summary

WATCHA MATCHA PTE. LTD. is seeking an entry-level Bar Server / Host in Singapore to welcome guests and support bar and dining operations. The role includes guest greeting, seating assistance, menu guidance, and serving beverages with attention to accuracy and presentation.

This position offers both part-time and full-time schedules, with rotating shifts, weekend coverage, and potential for growth within the F&B team. Training is provided to support high standards of service.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Bar and Service teams to ensure smooth service.
• Maintain clean, organised dining and service areas and restock as needed.
• Follow SOPs, hygiene, and safety procedures; handle feedback professionally.

Job description

Job Title: Bar Server / Host

Job Level: Entry-level

Department: F&B Operations

Part-Time Rate: $13 to $15/hour and $15 to $18/hour (Depending on experience)

Schedule:

• Minimum 4 days/week, 20 hours/week minimum, up to 35 hours/week

Full-Time Rate: $2,300 to $3,200/month (depends on exp)

Schedule:

• 5–6 working days per week | Rotating 1–2 days off per week (2 days off one week, 1 day off the following week).

• 45 to 54 hours/week — PH and Weekends closing shifts until 2 AM is a must

Overall Job Objectives:

The Bar Server / Host is responsible for welcoming and assisting guests, providing attentive food and beverage service, and supporting the smooth operation of the bar and dining areas. The role combines guest hosting, table service, food and beverage running, and general Front of House support to ensure an efficient and positive dining experience.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Welcome and greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.

• Assist with seating arrangements and guide guests to their tables or designated areas.

• Provide menus and assist guests with basic menu and beverage enquiries.

• Take and process food and beverage orders accurately when required.

• Deliver food and beverages promptly and accurately to the correct tables.

• Tell compelling stories about dishes, ingredients, and drinks.

• Support the Bar and Service Crew in coordinating food and beverage service.

• Check orders before serving to ensure accuracy and proper presentation.

• Monitor tables and respond promptly to guest requests throughout their dining experience.

• Clear used plates, glasses, and other service items and maintain clean and organised tables.

• Assist with setting up and resetting tables before and during service.

• Support basic bar service activities, including restocking beverages, glassware, garnishes, and other service supplies.

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar, dining, and service areas.

• Communicate guest requests, order issues, or service concerns to the relevant team member or supervisor.

• Handle guest feedback professionally and escalates issues when necessary.

• Follow restaurant SOPs, service standards, food hygiene, cleanliness, and workplace safety procedures.

• Support promotions, events, and other F&B activities when required.

• Perform other operational duties as required to support the restaurant’s business needs.

Job Specifications:

• Previous experience in F&B, hospitality, customer service, or a similar environment is an advantage; training may be provided for suitable candidates.

• Experience in fast-food, restaurants, hospitality, or bar dining environments is an advantage.

• Experience as a Restaurant Server, Host, Food Runner, Bar Server, or similar role is an advantage.

• Positive attitude with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Willingness to learn and uphold the restaurant’s Korean dining concepts and service standards.

• Team player with good work ethic and professional grooming and hygiene standards

• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays, based on business needs
