Job summary

GMP Technologies in Singapore is seeking an IT Network and Security Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support our expanding network infrastructure in a banking environment. You will ensure alignment with security policies and optimize performance across on-premises and cloud components.

The role requires hands-on experience with Cisco or Juniper devices, firewall technologies, VPNs, and core networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs).

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in enterprise network design and management.
• Deep knowledge of networking protocols and security standards.
• Experience with firewall technologies, IDS/IPS, and security best practices.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot complex network issues in hybrid environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and support LAN, WAN, and wireless network infrastructure.
• Configure, install, and maintain networking devices such as firewalls, routers, switches, and access points.
• Monitor and optimize network performance including availability, utilization, throughput, and latency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues across on-premise and cloud environments.
• Respond to network incidents and participate in change management processes.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement and uphold network security practices.
• Conduct capacity planning and recommend upgrades for future growth.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of network architecture, configurations, and procedures.
