Job summary

Changi Airports International Pte Ltd is seeking a senior engineer to lead the BHS upgrading, renewal and asset replacement works within a live airport environment. You will coordinate with Operations & Maintenance teams, airlines, GHAs and authorities to ensure safe, timely delivery and seamless integration with ongoing baggage operations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Control Systems, Computer Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 8–10 years of relevant engineering, project execution or BHS experience.
• Experience working within live brownfield operating environment with understanding of operational constraints and risks.
• Experience in system renewal, upgrading, integration, testing and commissioning.
• Knowledge of automated baggage handling, conveyors, sortation, PLC/SCADA/IT/OT infra advantageous.
• Proven contractor and consultant management, tender evaluation and contract administration.
• Experience planning live operational trials, cutovers, commissioning and recovery exercises.
• Strong understanding of risk management and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Drive and oversee the execution of BHS upgrading, renewal and asset replacement works.
• Monitor project execution including progress, costs, resources and milestones; drive corrective actions.
• Ensure seamless execution and integration of project works within the live airport environment.
• Coordinate with contractors, O&M teams, airlines, GHAs, authorities and stakeholders.
• Oversee BHS maintenance during upgrading, asset replacement and transition through the DLP.
• Manage project execution from tender to handover with quality assurance.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure contract obligations met.
• Identify execution constraints and risks to minimize disruption to baggage ops.
• Plan, coordinate and assess live trials, cutsovers and recovery measures.
• Provide engineering leadership during implementations and incidents.
• Review proposed technical solutions for compatibility with brownfield BHS environment.
• Drive reliability, condition monitoring and data-driven improvements.
• Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and lifecycle planning.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory and cybersecurity requirements.
