Job summary

Activate Interactive Pte Ltd is a Singapore-based technology consultancy seeking a Backend Engineer to join the O&S team for web applications. The role is a 24-month fixed-term contract, focusing on building REST APIs and backend services with Spring Boot and Node.js.

You will help troubleshoot issues, improve performance, and collaborate with frontend developers on API integration. We require 2–5 years of software development experience, with hands-on work in Node.js, Maven, databases, and

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain REST APIs and backend services using Spring Boot / Node.js
Support troubleshooting and resolution of system and deployment issues
Assist in enhancing system performance, scalability, and reliability
Participate in code reviews to improve code quality and maintainability
Implement backend features following established security and development standards
Work closely with frontend developers for API integration
Support CI/CD processes and ongoing application development
Participate in technical discussions and adoption of engineering practices
