Activate Interactive Pte Ltd, a Singapore-based technology consultancy, invites you to join our O&S team as a Backend Engineer on a 24-month fixed-term contract located at Punggol Digital District. You will build REST APIs with Java/Spring Boot, collaborate with frontend developers, and contribute to scalable backend services.

We value hands-on developers with 2–5 years of experience in Java, Node.js, and CI/CD practices, who can thrive in agile environments and secure development standards.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of software development experience.
• Hands-on experience in Java + Spring Boot and REST API development.
• Basic experience with Node.js and Maven.
• Understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and basic application security.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain REST APIs and backend services using Spring Boot / Node.js.
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of system and deployment issues.
• Assist in enhancing system performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews to improve code quality and maintainability.
• Implement backend features following established security and development standards.
• Work closely with frontend developers for API integration.
• Support CI/CD processes and ongoing application development.
• Participate in technical discussions and adoption of engineering practices.

Co-Development Business Unit is hiring for Software Engineer

This is a 24-months fixed term contract.

Location: Punggol Digital District

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join our team to be part of the O&S team web application development.

What will you do?

What are we looking for?

• 2-5 years of software development experience

Hands-on experience in:

• Exposure to agile or continuous development environments
• Backend Engineer should also have front end development experience

Preferred

• Candidates with Government / Defence (MINDEF / SAF) project experience advantageous
• Exposure to secure or regulated environments
• Basic familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS / Azure)
• Some experience participating in code reviews or team development standards
