Job summary

Activate Interactive Pte Ltd, a Singapore-based tech consultancy, seeks a Backend Engineer for the O&S web app team in Punggol. You will build and maintain REST APIs, collaborate with frontend developers, and help optimize performance and security across distributed services.

The role requires 2–5 years of software development experience with Java/Spring Boot, REST API design, and familiarity with Node.js, Maven, and databases. A 24-month fixed-term contract in a dynamic environment awaits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain REST APIs and backend services using Spring Boot / Node.js
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of system and deployment issues
• Assist in enhancing system performance, scalability, and reliability
• Participate in code reviews to improve code quality and maintainability
• Implement backend features following security and development standards
• Work with frontend developers for API integration
• Support CI/CD processes and ongoing application development
• Participate in engineering discussions and best practices
