ScienTec Consulting Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Backend Engineer to join a government AI project in Singapore. The role focuses on building scalable Python-based backend services and AI-powered capabilities, with a hybrid work arrangement at Pasir Panjang.

You will own features end-to-end, integrate with external systems, and participate in architecture improvements while collaborating with PMs, engineers, and partners. A strong background in Python and AI is required.

Qualifications

• Min 4–5 years of backend software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python with web frameworks (FastAPI or Flask).
• Experience with LLMs, RAG architectures, or vector databases.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially Azure.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, testing, and secure coding practices.

Responsabilités

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs.
• Own backend features end-to-end from design to production.
• Integrate with internal platforms, external systems, and third parties.
• Develop AI-powered backend capabilities for document ingestion and retrieval.
• Design data processing pipelines for efficient information retrieval.
• Work with relational and non-relational databases for scalable systems.
• Debug production issues and improve reliability and observability.
• Collaborate with product, engineers, and partner teams.
• Participate in code reviews, CI/CD, security, maintainability.
• Contribute to platform architecture and developer experience.
