Job summary

DBS Bank Ltd in Singapore seeks an AVP - UI Design & Component Engineering to standardize UI architecture across regional applications, combining strategic design with hands-on component engineering to reduce duplication and improve performance.

You will lead a scalable, reusable design system, ensure accessibility, and govern multi-brand themes across geographies, products, and channels, delivering consistent user experiences while optimizing load times.

Qualifications

8+ years in UI design, component engineering, or product engineering.
5+ years leading/architecting large-scale design systems (multi-product/multi-region).
3+ years in a senior/leadership role.

Responsibilities

UI Design & Component Architecture: Lead and maintain a comprehensive, framework-agnostic design system for UI components, ensuring accessibility and adherence to design standards across all regions and products.
Journey Standardization & Code Deduplication: Standardize user journeys across APAC markets, design flexible architectures for regional variations within a unified codebase, and lead migration efforts to the standardized component library.
UI Performance Optimization (20%): Define and optimize UI/page load performance through techniques like code splitting, image optimization, and build pipeline enhancements, ensuring sub-2-second load times.
Theme Management & Styling System: Design and implement a flexible, maintainable theming system supporting multi-brand themes, dark/light mode, and accessibility-compliant color palettes, synchronized with design tools.
