Job summary

DBS Bank seeks an AVP - UI Design & Component Engineering to standardize UI architecture across regional banking apps and drive a reusable component library. You will lead governance, performance, and accessibility while ensuring consistency of user experiences across geographies and channels.

The role combines strategic UI/UX design with hands-on component engineering, demanding strong leadership, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and a focus on scalable, accessible design systems.

Qualifications

8+ years in UI design, component engineering, or product engineering.
5+ years leading/architecting large-scale design systems across multiple products/regions.
3+ years in a senior/leadership role.
Strong React and Angular expertise; modern web tooling.
Experience with design system tools (Figma, Storybook); Git; TypeScript.

Responsibilities

Lead and maintain a framework-agnostic design system for UI components across regions and products.
Standardize journeys across APAC markets and migrate to a unified component library.
Optimize UI performance to sub-2-second load times; implement code splitting and image optimization.
Design flexible theming with multi-brand themes and accessibility-compliant palettes.
